How to get to Commuter Cycles

Commuter Cycles is a cinch to get to as we’re conveniently located next to the Upfield bikepath, Brunswick station and only a couple of hundred metres from Sydney Rd. Click on the map to enlarge it…Huw postcard front and back.indd

By bike:

Take the Upfield bikepath to Victoria Street. Turn West into Victoria Street, cross the train line, then turn left into Prentice Street. Commuter Cycles is 100m down the street on the left.

If coming from the South-East, the Upfield bike path connects to the Capital City Trail on the old inner circle railway line reservation (Linear Park) which provides access to Canning Street, then the Merri Creek Trail at Rushall railway station; and in the other direction it passes near the Royal Melbourne Zoo to connect with the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail.

Alternatively, at Park Street cyclists can join the Royal Parade bike path and on road bike lane which provides access to University of Melbourne main campus in Parkville.

By Train:

Take the Upfield line to Brunswick station. It’s about a 15 minute trip from Southern Cross station. Head Northwards and turn left into Victoria Street, turn left again into Prentice Street. Commuter Cycles is 100m down the street on the left. It’s about a 2 minute walk. Check out the Upfield train timetable here.

By Tram:

Take the number 19 tram (North Coburg route) along Sydney Rd. Get off at Albert Street (stop number 19). Walk West along Albert Street, cross the train track and turn right into Prentice St. Commuter Cycles is 80m down the street on the right. It’s about a 5 minute walk.
