No-one should leave home without them. You never know when you’re going to be out after dark and being seen on the road at night may save your life.

To keep things simple, there are are two lights that offer excellent value and are upto  daily use-

Front - Planet Bike ‘Beamer 5′, super bright and securely mounts to just about any handlebar

Rear – Planet Bike ‘Superflash’, crazy bright 1/2 watt light has spawned many copies, but no equals.

We’ve got plenty of other lighting options including, dynamo systems, lights for your helmet, and were advocates of reflective and high visibility gear.

Of course if you want to look good as well as just being seen, you can’t go past Knog’s sexy range of LEDs.

Many bicycle lights aren’t cheap, but this is something that you shouldn’t skimp on. A cheap light wont survive Melbourne’s unpredictable weather or the few knocks it’s going to get from day to day use.
